Huayhuash is considered among the 10 most beautiful trekking circuits in the world. It is one of the most impressive mountain ranges of Peruvian Andes. In its 30 Km from North to South 7 Mountains exceed 6000 meters and 7 elevations of more than 5500 meters; its varied and unparalleled scenery and panoramic views make it unique in natural beauty.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Huaraz 3100masl. - Chiquian 3400masl. - Llamac 3250masl. - Pocpa 3470masl - Cuartelhuain 4100masl.
Today we will depart from the city of Huaraz by private bus heading south, passing through the provinces of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac until we reach the height of Conococha (4050 masl). From here, we will deviate eastward following the road that will take us to the province of Chiquian also known as "mirror of the sky". Then we will continue our trip by a trail that will take us passed the towns of LLamac and Pocpa. Finally, we arrive at the camp of Cuartelhuain 4100 masl.
Overnight place Cuartelhuain 4100masl
Day 2: Cuartehuain 4100masl. - Sambunya Pass 4750masl. - Jahuacocha Lagoon 4100masl.
We will continue our morning walk along a not very visible foot path that will take us to the Sambunya pass 4750m. A strategic place where we will obtain impressive panoramic views of the Huayhuash Cordillera and its imposing snow-capped mountains. Now we will continue the hike down the valley passing by Solteracocha Lake and Jahuacocha (4100m). Arriving at the mouth of the lake where we will camp (6 to 7 hours).
Overnight stay at Jahuacocha Lagoon 4100masl.
Day 3: Lagoon Jahuacocha 4100m. - Huacrish viewpoint 4790m. - Laguna Jahuacocha 4100m.
We will initiate our trek following the zigzagged path to the valley of Huacrish, until we reach the viewpoint Huacrish (4790m), special point where we will obtain a spectacular panorama of the Mountain range Huayhuash and the Jahuacocha lake. Finally, we will return to our campsite (4 to 5 hours approx.).
Overnight place Laguna Jahuacocha 4100m.
Day 4: Jahuacocha Lagoon 4100masl. - Pampas Llamac 4300masl. - Llamac 3250masl. - Huaraz 3100masl.
Finally culminating our adventure we will follow the rise up to the pass called Pampa Llamac (4300masl), where we will appreciate for the last time the imposing snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Huayhuash, then we will descend by the well-marked road, which will take us to the town of Llamac (4300masl), it is there where our private transport is waiting for us to take us to our starting point, Huaraz (3100masl) end of the expedition (4 to 5 hours approx. Of walk and 4 to 5 hours of trip in bus)
Recommendations:
- If you want to do this type of climbing, it is necessary to acclimatize previously for several days and be in good physical/technical conditions.
